Delcambre

Hello Panthers....I am Amy Allen, the Administrative Assistant here at Delcambre Elementary!

My story…I was born and raised just down Highway 89 in Coteau. I started my teaching career at Canal Street in Jeanerette after graduating from USL. Here I taught 1st grade for 3 years.  Then I moved over to Johnston Street Elementary where I taught Kindergarten and 3^rd grade. I took a year off from teaching and completed my Master’s degree at USL, now ULL. I put my career on pause for a minute, about 15 years, to stay home and raise my four children. Stan, my husband and I have 3 daughters, Dr. Alayna Allen Clark, Rachel and Jessica. We have one son, Stan, III. I decided to pick up where I left off and go back to my love of teaching in 2016. I was able to teach at Daspit Road Elementary. While at Daspit I taught 2^nd and 6^th grades. I feel very fortunate and extremely blessed to be a part of the Delcambre Elementary school family.

On my off time, I follow my husband around the country drag racing. We have great adventures and meet awesome people. Oh and I love my dog, so drop by my office I will have pictures of all of the above.
